September 4: "Interoperability in Latin America and the Caribbean" RUTE-AL Webinar

The Latin American Telemedicine University Network (RUTE-AL) will hold its next webinar on Wednesday, September 4, at 15:00 GMT (9:00 in Mexico, 10:00 in Colombia/Ecuador, 11:00 in Chile, 12:00 in Brazil). The session is part of the 2024 webinar series and will focus on discussing the opportunities and challenges of integrating the region's healthcare systems.

The webinar, entitled "Interoperability in Latin America and the Caribbean," will feature experts Mario Ron, Coordinator of Networking, Infrastructure, and Security at the Solón Espinosa Ayala Oncology Hospital (SOLCA Quito, Ecuador), Adriana Abad Freire, a specialist from the Technology Directorate of the Ministry of Public Health of Ecuador; and Lorena Donoso, a legal advisor from the Ministry of Health of Chile.

These experts will explore how interoperability can improve the quality of healthcare, facilitate collaboration between institutions and promote more equitable access to health services. The event will also include success stories and lessons learned from implementing interoperable solutions in different countries in the region.

The RUTE-AL 2024 webinar series aims to generate knowledge and foster the development of a permanent collaboration network on health and telemedicine issues in Latin America and the Caribbean. The sessions started in April and will continue until November, supported by RedCLARA and the National Research and Education Networks (NRENs) that are part of it.
