The Digital Health SIG of the Latin American Telemedicine University Network (RUTE-AL) invites the research and education community of the region to participate in its upcoming webinar, scheduled for Wednesday, 29 May, at 19:00 GMT GMT (16:00 GMT in Brazil / 15:00 GMT in Chile), entitled "AI Adoption in Health in the Context of Latin America and the Caribbean."

The session will feature the participation of Juan Velásquez, a prominent Chilean researcher in the field of engineering and medicine, and Edson Amaro Junior, coordinator of the SIG (Special Interest Group) on Data Science and Artificial intelligence (AI) in Health of RUTE-BR (RUTE Brazil) and coordinator of the AI area at the Albert Einstein Israelite Hospital in Brazil. Lorena Donoso, a lawyer with over 20 years of experience advising both public and private institutions on Telecommunications Law, will moderate the panel.

"AI Adoption in Health in the Context of Latin America and the Caribbean" is part of the RUTE-AL´s Webinar Series 2024, which will run until November, with the aim of promoting the creation of a permanent collaboration network on health and telemedicine in the region. All sessions will be simultaneously translated into Spanish, Portuguese, and English.
