October 21-23: 2nd Pichilemu Dance Meeting Festival

The Pichilemu Dance Meeting Festival will be held for the second consecutive year. In 2021, the theme of the event will be "Poetic Body". This Festival, which has the support of the advanced Chilean network, REUNA, will have a hybrid programming in person and online, focused exclusively on the Contemporary dance. The online transmissions will be three hours a day each day, from 8:00 p.m. in Chile (GMT -3), on October 21, 22 and 23.

The activity will be attended by prominent exponents from the city of Pichilemu, the O'Higgins Region and many other regions of Chile. In addition, in its international programming, it will feature prominent dance companies invited from Germany, France, Spain and Colombia, who will present their works for the first time in our country.

Why Poetic Body? It is intended to reflect and make known the staging of a "Poetic Body". This is a vector of emotion, brotherhood, sincerity and truth, which at the same time contributes to considering life in society, also as a sensitive space, of respect and tolerance.

“Our Festival is an artistic project that contributes to the educational spheres of the human being in all its stages. We have the mission of developing events around contemporary dance in public and urban spaces, seeking that as many people as possible live the artistic experience in person ”, explains its director, Camilo Arenas. Given the health contingency and the desire to be able to connect and open dance beyond territorial borders, the organizing team has adapted to new technologies, using the REUNA PLAZA videoconferencing platform to hold the meeting.
