11 June: Don’t miss the blockchain session on ‘Digital Identity and Verifiable Credentials’

The event will bring together experts and stakeholders from the regional academic ecosystem to explore how blockchain can contribute to the secure issuance of digital credentials and open up new opportunities for higher education.
The digital transformation of higher education gains a new regional forum for discussion. On 11 June 2026, RedCLARA, together with LNET and the partner academic networks CUDI, RENATA and CEDIA,
will hold the second Blockchain session, “Digital Identity and Verifiable Credentials”, an open invitation to learn about specific applications of this technology in the academic sphere.
The session will focus on how universities, training centres and higher education institutions can move forward in issuing diplomas, certificates and verifiable credentials using blockchain infrastructure, thereby strengthening the trust, traceability and interoperability of their processes.
Aimed at professionals, institutions and teams interested in educational innovation and digital transformation, this event seeks to open a useful and timely conversation about solutions that are already shaping the future of academic certification in Latin America and the Caribbean. If your institution is exploring new models of digital trust, this is an opportunity to join the dialogue.
When: 11 June 2026
Time: 10:00 am COL/PE | 09:00 am MX/CR | 12:00 pm BR/CL
Registration: https://n9.cl/nptf7f
RedCLARA invites the region’s academic and research community to participate in this session and learn first-hand how blockchain can contribute to a more secure, reliable and modern management of educational credentials.
DISCLAIMER: The blockchain testbed – developed as a collaboration between RedCLARA and LNET in the framework of the BELLA II Project - is the region’s most robust public-permissioned infrastructure for the secure experimentation of Web 3.0 solutions. It is an advanced environment that drives the development, validation and scaling of decentralised solutions, designed for those seeking to carry out projects in a regulated, secure environment that complies with international standards. Through this testbed, universities, research centres, start-ups, governments and businesses can design, test and optimise blockchain applications such as digital credentials, supply chain traceability, digital identity and smart contracts, without incurring transaction costs and without the need for their own infrastructure.
