RedCLARA and its member networks RAU, CUDI and RNP (the national research and education networks of Uruguay, Mexico and Brazil, respectively) are competing in the category “Collaboration in e-Culture” of the 2021 e-Culture Award, organized by Anilla Cultural Latin America-Europe in Uruguay, in order to assess collaborative and co-creative work in advanced internet networks in the cultural field in art, science, technology and society.

The University Corporation for Internet Development, A.C. (CUDI), operator of the National Education and Research Network (NREN) of Mexico, will carry out on Thursday 15 and Friday 16, April, between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm GMT (8:00 am to 11:00 am in Mexico) a virtual meeting for its member institutions, called "Dialogue on the National Education and Research Network". The meeting will count with the participation of Luis Eliécer Cadenas and Eduardo Grizendi, Executive Director and President of the Board of Directors of RedCLARA, respectively.

Recognizing the ongoing policy challenge to balance openness and Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) protection, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) will carry out, next Friday, April 23, from 10h to 12h GMT, an expert meeting to discuss the relationships between IPRs and Open Science, present the different existing instruments and mechanisms that reconcile ownership and sharing/openness, and to exchange on balanced IPRs and Open Science policies and strategies.

Con la participación del Responsable de Relaciones Internacionales de la red paneuropea GÉANT, Tom Fryer, y de la Directora Ejecutiva de la red avanzada chilena, REUNA, Paola Arellano, RENATA Colombia llevará a cabo este jueves 15 de abril, a las 15h GMT (10h de Colombia) más una edición de su Foro RENATA, discutiendo el tema “El rol de las RNIE en el confinamiento”.

The activity is in charge of the RedCLARA Climate Change Group and seeks to discuss how continuous environmental, economic and social changes impact agroecosystems around the world, based on the example of the South Coast region of Jalisco, Mexico.

The Chilean national research and education network, REUNA, will launch this Thursday, April 8, at 11am in Santiago (2pm GMT), a new service for its community: EduVPN.
