Programme to Promote the Implementation of IPv6 in Institutions Connected with RENATA 2012: Terms for the nomination of institutions

The National Academic Network of Advanced Technology (RENATA) from Colombia invites its connected institutions to stand as beneficiaries of the "Programme to Promote the Implementation of IPv6 in Institutions Connected with RENATA 2012" which aims to train and support 33 institutions in implementing IPv6 services. The program will have no cost to the beneficiary institutions connected to RENATA.

RENATA IPv6► Beneficiaries
The programme is directed to institutions connected to RENATA through regional networks RADAR, RIESCAR, RUANA, RUAV, RUMBO, RUP, RUTA, Caribe and UNIRED and the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications, Ministry of National Education and Administrative Department of Science, Technology and Innovation - Colciencias. The program will benefit 30 institutions connected to RENATA and three members from the Government: the Ministry of ICT, the Ministry of National Education and Colciencias.

► Benefits
The Programme benefits are:

1. Training and support, both onsite and virtual, for the adoption and development of IPv6 services in the institutions (see "Methodology").
2. The accomplishment in the implementation of services in the institutions will be disseminate by  www.renata.edu.co and the e-Colabora magazine. For the publication on the e-Colabora magazine, the institution must fulfill the requirements of articles production for the magazine (see).
3. Training and support for adoption and development of services in the IPv6 protocol will have no cost to the beneficiary institutions.

► Requirements
The requirements to run and participate in the programme are:

1. To be a member of RENATA
2. Letter with the approval of the regional network
3. Letter of commitment of the institution
4. Sending the application

The applicant institution must send an email to the address ipv6@renata.edu.co including the guide of the certificated mail use to send the application.

► Important Dates
June 13th, 2012: Opening of the Programme (conditions for participation are published and begins the reception of letters of commitment).
July 13th, 2012: Deadline for applications.
July 17th, 2012: Evaluation of proposals.
July 18th, 2012: Publication of beneficiary institutions.
