The 18th edition of the Seminar on Training and Innovation (SCI) of the National Research and Education Network (RNP) from Brazil will be held in Foz do Iguaçu (PR), between 22 and 26 October, 2012.

During the SCI, RNP provides technical training to its partner institutions through courses and workshops on topics directed to the immediate needs of the partner institution of RNP. This year, the courses will be shorter, more modern and will include in the agenda themes such as the federation, IPv6, design and deployment of optical networks, monitoring and security of networks, among others.

Another novelty is the extension of chat sessions, with more intense discussions on Security, Services, Infrastructure and Governance, Research & Development, Operation and Network Points of Presence. These actions seek to promote a bigger participation of the PoPs and the clients and partners institutions of RNP.
