International Biennial of Scientific Film (BICC), Ronda 2014

For its 27th edition in 2014, the International Biennial of Scientific Film presents an innovative global format of audiovisual festival available in person, virtually and remotely for different venues and sub-venues from Latin America, to participate through RedIRIS and RedCLARA in projections, activities and events to be scheduled monthly, including the initial presentation and final awards to be made as always in Ronda, Spain.

 

Through RedIRIS and the national networks connected to RedCLARA, hundreds of educational, cultural and R&D centers in Latin America have the opportunity to be remote venues and sub-venues of BICC, Ronda 2014. They can be part not only of the projections of the international competition at different stages of selection and awards, but also participate as judges and experts in meetings, debates, forums, courses, conferences, exhibitions and the visual displays of dissemination and scientific culture that will be offered.

The 2014 edition will involve 3 topics:
1. Projections of the international competition
Open call for scientific audiovisual works produced in the last two years, in different competition categories for awards and recognitions of BICC, Ronda 2014.

2. Tele-meetings ASECIC Digital Media
Interactive brainstorming sessions among experts and practitioners to share experiences, resources and common criteria for defining, assessing and validating the quality, creativity, innovation, educational and cultural relevance and use of images and sound science in a digital age.

3. Exhibits and audiovisual displays
Around the sights and sounds of science and technology in the twenty-first century will be carried out exhibitions and transmissions of samples and audiovisual festivals guests.
