Vietsch Foundation launches its website

The newly founded organization also announced awards to individuals who contribute to the scientific community.

In November 24 the Vietsch Foundation launched the first version of its website (visit in www.vietsch-foundation.org). The presentation of the website of the european organization founded in February of this year, took place on the anniversary of the birth of its creator, the dutch Willem Karel Vietsch (1952-2014).

According to Valentino Cavalli, director of the Foundation, the website fulfills a very important function. "The page clearly presents the goals and activities of our institution. It's a great start for us", said.

The site visitors will also find information about opportunities for funding or co-funding of projects and about the Vietsch Foundation Medal of Honour . The award will be given, annually, to individuals who have contributed to the development of a service, technology or approach that will be of enduring value to the community.

Suggestions for projects to be funded and for people who should be awarded with the Medal of Honour can be sent through the same page of the Foundation.

The Vietsch Foundation promotes research and development of advanced Internet technology for scientific research and higher education.
