Chile: advanced networks facilitate international collaboration in Telemedicine
The University of Chile and REUNA invite all the interested to attend, via streaming, the lecture that will be given by the Dr. Shuji Shimizu, Director of TEMDEC (Telemedicine Development Center of Asia), about the importance of academic networks in international collaboration for telemedicine.
The activity will be held on Tuesday, June 14, at 11:30 hrs (Santiago) at the Clinical Hospital of the University of Chile and will be broadcast live through REUNA’s website.
Shimizu's visit to Chile aims to strengthen collaborative ties with its national counterparts, define the next steps together and meet new actors in the field of telemedicine.

TEMDEC (Telemedicine Development Center of Asia)
The Telemedicine Development Center of Asia aims to establish a point of communication between Japanese doctors and their peers in Asia and the rest of the world, using the high-speed networks and advanced technologies. It currently has cooperation agreements with 444 institutions of 57 countries. Among its activities are the training of doctors in the distance, remote care of patients and the development and application of new technologies.
