RedCLARA promotes Latin American Heads Network Technology

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and RedCLARA organized a meeting to form a Latin American Network of Information Technology Directors, in order to seek ways to jointly confront the challenges of knowledge society.

 

Identify the challenges faced by units of information technology in higher education institutions in Latin America and establish a collaborative network to address them, was one of the main objectives of a meeting between a group of directors of these units were appointment on 18 and January 19 in Santiago de Chile.

The experts were convened by the IDB and RedCLARA to outline a plan of action to create a Latin American Network of Information Technology Directors. The meeting had among its objectives to establish lines of cooperation between managers, in order to better take advantage of ICTs within their organizations.

The Executive Director of CLARA, Florencio Utreras, gave a presentation that led to a dialogue on the challenges of the Director of ICT. Each participant was also able to make a presentation about their work and coming challenges unique to their country.
