Technical Workshop on Computer Security

LACNIC has organized a training event for security professionals, focused on the topic of CSIRTs, which will be held in Panama from 14 to 17 March.

The creation of the Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) is critical to any entity in the world today. Therefore, LACNIC has organized a training workshop around this theme, with support from the International Development Research Centre (IDRC).

In the workshop, which will last four days and will take place in Panama, will address topics such as guidelines for the training of CSIRTs, the job description into this, the types of response centers, policies risk management within these and legislation in the countries of the region.

The training is aimed at professionals in the area of Information Security and will include classroom seminars to explain in detail the incident management software, presentations, workshops (Hands on type) to transfer knowledge on methodologies and techniques, and panel discussions with ample participation.
