Six candidates have been selected to participate in the international tender for the Virtual School of Mercosur. The tender for the provision of network equipment Arandu, is ongoing.

The short list "of companies selected to participate in the international tender for the Virtual School of Mercosur was posted yesterday on the official website of EuropeAid. Of the 26 applications received have chosen six, some of which include proposals for consortia.

The Foundation Center Distance Education for Economic and Technological Development (CEDDET), GOPA Consultants, American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA), the International Labour Office / International Institute for Knowledge Development in Vocational Training (Ilo / Cinterfor), the Inter-American Organization (OUI-IOHE) and Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, are the six main bidders were selected. These may not build alliances at the time of submitting their bids.

As for the tender for the provision of advanced network equipment Arandu, the deadline for submission of tenders is 29 April, so there's still opportunity to participate. More information www.mercosurdigital.org.
