The University of San Francisco from Quito and the Ecuadorian Society of Mathematics invite to participate in the Third Ibero-American Intercollegiate Mathematics Competition
The event, that will take place on October 2 to 8, aims to encourage the study of mathematics and academic excellence in the university community.
Organized by the University of San Francisco from Quito (USFQ) with the support of the Ecuadorian Society of Mathematics (Sedem), on Octob er 2 to 8 in Ecuador will be held the Third Ibero-American Intercollegiate Mathematics Competition (CIIM). The aim of the activity is focused on encouraging the study of mathematics and academic excellence in the Latin American university community, improving scientific capacity through the motivation and international competitiveness, thus contributing to social, cultural and economic development of countries.
The CIIM, founded by Colombian Mathematical Olympiad in 2009 are aimed at all university undergraduates who handle basic concepts of number theory, geometry, combinatorics, calculus and algebra, grouped in a single level.
Delegations wishing to participate must register before August 24. Each college and / or participating country must send two problems to date to create the bank issues of the Competition.
