The activity, that will be held in Caracas, Venezuela, will provide an excellent opportunity for researchers to present their work, share ideas with a scientific and technical audience and also to review current industry needs.

LACCOTAM 2012 is the second conference organized by the Latin American and Caribbean Congress for Theoretical and Applied Mechanics and aims to bring together researchers and scientists of the region for communicating recent and projected advances in all fields of theoretical and applied mechanics.

The activity will be held in Caracas, Venezuela, on September 24 to 26, 2012 in collaboration with Universidad  Simón Bolívar, Universidad Central de Venezuela, Universidad de los  Andes and The University of West Indies.

According to the event web site, the program will cover a wide range of topics and will provide an excellent opportunity for researchers to present their work, share ideas with a scientific and technical audience and also to review current industry needs.

During three days of activities LACCOTAM 2012 will feature presentations by the authors of all accepted papers, as well as, plenary and keynote speaker by leading international experts. A poster session will be incorporated and there will be three Symposia, one in Clean Energies, other in Multi-Phase Flow and another in Sediments Transport, as well as, a Student Session.

The call for abstract / full paper is open and the deadline for submission is Saturday, October 30, 2011.
