TICenFID videoconferencing cycle mentioned in ECLAC document

"The information and communication technologies in the initial teacher training in Latin America" is the title of the publication developed by the Social Development Division of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), which refers to the work done by the TICenFID Network.

This initiative began in 2010 and aims to share experiences in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (TIC, Tecnologías de la Información y las Comunicaciones) in Initial Teacher Training, (FID, Formación Inicial Docente) in a space where teachers and students can interact with the students of teaching careers of other universities that like the University of Los Lagos, and the Metropolitan University of Educational Sciences, are working to ensure the use of ICT in the work of the future teachers who are forming.

The document states on page No. 42:

“Experiences related to cooperation and networking between FID institutions:
International cooperation between networks and institutions in the region. An interesting example is the videoconference cycle of TIC in the FID developed in 2010 and promoted by the National University Network of Chile (REUNA) and the University of Lagos of Chile. These institutions, along with other networks such as the National Academic Network for Advanced Technology of Colombia (RENATA) have generated these series of lectures by experts, researchers and teachers of FID to promote the discussion and exchange of experiences between institutions, teachers and students of initial teacher training in the region.”
