The program will include lectures on SOS Project Telemedicine for Venezuela, Information and Communication Technologies in nursing and paradigm changes in information systems in nursing. All those interested may participate by videoconfrence and through the transmission that will be available on the Internet.

Informatics and all Information and Comunication Technologies (ICT) in Nursing, as in other areas of health, is proving to be an essential tool to systematize and optimize patient care processes towards the electronic registration, the digital store and dissemination of clinical knowledge in nursing, improvement of professional performance and the posibility of obtain remote support for the solution of problems.

To address this issue effectively, Universitaria de Videoconferencias en salud (RUVIS), the Faculty of Medicine, Universidad Central de Venezuela (UCV) and its School of Nursing, the Health Corporation of  the Nueva Esparta State  (CORPOSALUD), the Nueva Esparta Program of the UCV, and the SOS Program Telemedicine for Venezuela (UCV)invite to the 2nd Couse by videoconference: "Internet use in the practice of Nursing: Opportunities and Challenges".

The event will take place on Wednesday 29 February 2012 and those who are interested in participating, may asist to the definied meeting points (see poster). Institutions connected to RedCLARA may join by videoconference and those who prefer can access through the transmission that will be available on the Internet.
