What is a virtual day?
It is a meeting at the network with the participation of specialists in a topic related to the use of academic networks. Through short presentations (20minuts) and from different countries of the continent, they share their experiences. At the end, the audience can participate, comment and ask questions to the panelists.

Who are the speakers of the First Virtual Day?
On March 28th 2012 from 18:00 GMT the activity will involve the participation of the following prominent speakers:

• Dr. Lina Barrientos, ACHALAI Community, who we talk about the work that is being developed to rescue the sound of prehispanic instruments.
• Dr. Saul Juarez Mena, Internet2 Coordinator, National Council for Culture and Art of Mexico (CONACULTA) who will present cultural, artistic and educational applications carried out over Internet2.
• Dr. Martin Levenson, National Coordinator of Institutional Development (INAH) who will explain the features of the photograph library repository, Codices and Museum collections. In addition he will refer to INAH Virtual Tours.
• Lecturer Ivani Santana, MAPA D2 Community (Map and Art Program in Digital Dance and performance).
• Mr. José Murilo General Coordinator of Digital Culture, Ministry of Culture of Brazil, who will talk about the outstanding experience in the work of RNP along with the Ministry of Culture of Brazil.

Why to book?
Because is necessary to set the connection and intervention mechanism to be use during the event. The complexity of a large assembly, with the possibility of participating, increase when the interventions como from different videoconferencing rooms connected. Registration only requires to link the videoconference technical responsible of the VC room that a participant intent to use with the RedCLARA VC technical manager.
