Call 2011 for the assistance of events developed in ALC

With this announcement, the Internet Address Registry for Latin America and the Caribbean (LACNIC ) contribute to the achievement of a limited number of events that contribute to the development and stability of the Internet in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). The deadline for submission of proposals is Monday, February 21, 2011.

LACNIC has announced on its web page the launch of an initiative that will support the realization of a limited number of events that will contribute to Internet development and stability within the region of Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC).

Those organizations interested in receiving financial assistance for an event to be organized during 2011 must complete the form and send it to , filling out the required fields before Monday February 21, 2011 (19:00 UTC). Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.

The initiatives that result selected will be publish on Monday March 14, 2011, and LACNIC reserves the right to select the initiatives it considers most appropriate for receiving financial support, and is not obliged to justify the results of this selection in any way. Depending on the number of applications received and the resources available, LACNIC reserves the right to approve contributions lower than those requested, which will be duly agreed with the applicants.

Selection Criteria

Events must focus on the general subject o Internet Governance and may be conferences, seminars workshops or training courses. The activities must be conducted during 2011 in any of the countries or territories within the region covered by LACNIC (See the list of the countries and territories covered by LACNIC, HERE).
