October 4-7: "Copernicus Satellite Data in Chile and Latin America: Building Applications and Collaboration Networks" Workshop Series

In order to explore how data from the Copernicus Program are used to investigate climate change, the Center for Mathematical Modeling (CMM) of the University of Chile and the Joint Nature Conservation Committee (JNCC) of the United Kingdom, with the support of the Chilean advanced network, REUNA, invites to the series of workshops "Copernicus satellite data in Chile and Latin America: Building applications and collaboration networks", which will take place between October 4 and 7, 2021.

The event is held at an important time for research on the subject, taking into consideration the inauguration of the connectivity of the BELLA Project, which will increase the data transmission capacity between Latin America and Europe, where the initiative comes from.

The workshops will address the topic through a series of presentations by internationally renowned technical experts and will convene collaborative interest groups for the development of future projects, in addition to identifying funding opportunities for research. The thematic sessions will include discussions on Climate and Atmosphere, Earth, Oceans and the Cryosphere.
